Segovia
Segovia is one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in Spain, since it has three important monuments in a relatively small space, which allows you to visit it in its entirety in a few hours.
These three important monuments are the 12th century Alcázar, which was one of the favourite residences of the kings of Castile, the 16th century cathedral, one of the most important in Spain and the 1st century Roman aqueduct, which although not in itself It is a monument, but a simple work of civil engineering, its excellent state of conservation makes it a must-see.
But what interests us is to enjoy the motorcycle, and Segovia makes it easy for us, since Madrid and Segovia are separated by the Sierras de Guadarrama and Somosierra, both belonging to the central system, and which have fantastic roads to enjoy the motorcycle.
In this way we have planned two stages to go and return to Segovia crossing these mountains, but without repeating a single kilometre of road.
The roads of these two mountains are characterized by their beautiful landscapes, their countless curves and their good state of conservation and signalling. In terms of traffic, on weekdays they have quite little, and on weekends there is something else, but without being annoying at any time. What you can see is hundreds of motorcycles, because these two mountains together with the Gredos are the favourite routes of Madrid bikers, so you will find several bars that on weekends become meeting places of bikers.
And in the gastronomic aspect, we must mention the famous Castilian roasts, lamb and suckling pig, which in this area are the best in Spain. In fact, on the outward journey, we recommend eating a lamb in the beautiful town of Pedraza, shortly before arriving in Segovia, although you can also wait to arrive and eat the famous Segovian suckling pig in Segovia.
For all this, this tour is highly recommended to spend an unforgettable weekend riding a motorcycle, but also doing other things such as visiting fabulous monuments or enjoying excellent cuisine.
