Lerma & Santo Domingo
This tour covers an area practically unknown even to the majority of Spaniards, but one that is of great beauty and that has magnificent roads. The main reason why this area is so unknown is because, in addition to being mountainous, it is completely surrounded by highways that run through the flat areas of the Castilian Plateau and the Ebro valley. As in Spain the highways are free, all the Traffic is channelled through these, and the consequence is that no one travels the interior area, which is as if it does not exist, and that is why it is so unknown.
Combining the easternmost part of the central system, which is the Sierra de Ayllón, with the northernmost part of the Iberian system, which is the Sierra de la Demanda and the Picos de Urbión, this tour mainly covers mid-mountain roads, with mostly wooded landscapes. For this reason we have given this tour the symbols of scenic travel and mountain roads.
In motorcycle terms, this tour is fantastic, because a good amount of curves must be joined by roads that are mostly in perfect condition, and a very important element to enjoy the bike, the practically total absence of traffic on the roads. On this tour there will be times when you even feel a certain sense of loneliness, but in return you will be able to enjoy the bike without having to worry about the traffic.
On the hotel side, this tour gives you the opportunity to sleep in two historic buildings, a 16th century ducal castle, and a 12th century pilgrims' hospital, for which we have also awarded it the symbol of historic accommodations.
And with these possible accommodations, plus the possibility of adjusting the duration of the stages to your preference, we could also say that it is a very appropriate tour for a romantic travel, which is why we have also given it this symbol.
